AutoRank Pro includes an account scanner which you can run at any time to check up on the member sites in your database. You can have multiple configurations
of the account scanner, and it can be started through the control panel or by using cron.
Before you use the account scanner, you will need to configure it through the control panel. Locate and click on the Scan Accounts link in the
Member Accounts section of the control panel menu. AutoRank Pro will load a page where you can configure how you want the account scanner to run.

Options - You can enable any of these options depending on what you want the scanner to do
Rebuild the ranking pages when the scanner is completed
With this option enabled your ranking pages will be rebuilt when the account scanner has completed it's task. It is generally
a good idea to enable this option if you have selected to delete accounts for any reason, as it will remove those accounts from
the ranking list.
Send an e-mail to the administrator when the scanner is completed
With this option enabled the account scanner will send you an e-mail message when it has completed it's task.
Delete accounts if their Site URL is no longer working
With this option enabled any member site who's site URL is no longer working will be deleted from the database.
A non-working site is one with an HTTP status code of 400 or greater. This will not delete sites if there is
a connection error or if the scanner is unable to resolve the domain name, as these types of errors can result
from problems with the server's internet connection.
Delete accounts if they do not have your link up at their Recip URL
With this option enabled the account scanner will check each member site's Recip URL to see if they have a link
up pointing to your site. You must specify the link to search for in the 'Specify the link to search for' field.
Specify the link to search for
If you have checked the 'Delete accounts if they do not have your link up at their Recip URL' option you must fill in
this field. If you fill in this field without checking that option, the scanner will search each site's Recip URL for
the link, but will not delete the account if the link is not found. It will simply note this in the account scanner
report so you can decide yourself if you want to delete the site.
In this field you should place the HTML code that you want the scanner to search for. Wildcards can be used in this
field, so you can tell it to search for something like
Once you have everything set how you want it, press the Save button. To load or delete a previously existing configuration, select it from the
drop down list and press the appropriate button.
Starting Through Control Panel
To start the account scanner through the control panel, locate and click on the Scan Accounts link in the Member Accounts section of the
control panel menu. At the bottom of the page you will see the Run Account Scanner box. Simply select the configuration that you want to run
from the drop down menu, and press the Start button. A window will pop-up indicating that the account scanner has been started.
You may start multiple configurations at once, but if you start the same configuration of the account scanner that is already running, the old one
will be stopped and the new one will start from the beginning.
To check the status of the account scanner, locate and click on the Scan Accounts link in the Member Accounts section of the
control panel menu. At the bottom of the page you will see the Run Account Scanner box. Simply select the configuration who's status you are interested
in from the drop down menu, and press the Check Status button. A window will pop-up with information on where the account scanner is in it's progress.
